1950

The University Congress recommended to the University the creation of new faculties. Engineering, Dentistry and Architecture were founded.

1956

By Resolution 2703 of September 7, the Ministry of Education approved the Architecture Career. The degree was awarded to the first graduates.

1951

In February, the Faculty of Architecture began classes with 62 students.
First Dean: Ignacio Martínez Cárdenas.

1965

Two new programs were created: Architectural Drawing and Advertising Art. Its first graduates graduated in 1967. In 1978, these programs were closed.

1953

The Faculty moved to the current headquarters. It begins its projection to the neediest community by collaborating with the Worker Training Department.

1971

The Faculty changed its name to the Faculty of Architecture and Design. An administrative reorganization was formalized, and a stage of participation in the Faculty Council began.
